Mexico to Back First International Loans

Nacional Financiera, Mexico’s national development bank, will guarantee small-business loans made in Mexico by First International Bank of the U.S., in the first such agreement Mexico has made with a foreign lender. The agreement will allow First International, Hartford, Conn., to lend at rates lower than those ordinarily available to small Mexican businesses.n
